Smarter Sex!!!!

Today the CET results will be out in Karnataka & here is a snip from TIMES OF INDIA. Have a look at this...

Boys outshine girls in CET

Medical: Gulbarga boy tops Engg: DK lad bags first rank

TIMES NEWS NETWORK

Bangalore: Unlike the Board examinations, boys outscored girls in the CET 2005. While Sangamesh J. Mise from Gulbarga bagged the first rank in medical, Rajat Varna from Dakshina Kannada topped the engineering scores.
The results were put up on the website on Tuesday evening and will be announced in all 182 test centres after 11 am on Wednesday.
Of the 85,270 candidates who wrote the test on May 3 and 4, the CET cell has allotted ranks to 61,078 students. The cell has not given ranks to 24,192 students as the candidates had not submitted the qualifying exam marksheet, or marks obtained in either PCM for engineering or PCB for medical was recorded zero, or they did not meet the domicile requirement or the age criterion, CET special officer D.N. Nayak said.

This is so true, boys outscoring girls when it comes to CET, which tests the intelligence, quickness, ability to think fast, ability to think out of the box, ability cope up with the pressure, etc etc etc...

But this isnt the case when it comes to board exams... Girls comfortably score over boys. But y this happens:-\ I remember reading in newspapers few months back that men are blessed with certain cells, which makes them more spontaneous and quick in their reflexes. May be this explains the whole thing ;)

Well, i am not being FOR or AGAINST any sex, but just thinking how certain things can be generalised so easily!!!!

This is where i like to be !!

Woooohooooo, i just love this weather!!! Its so romantic, passionate, dreamy... I just cant sit n work now:(

Well this blog isnt about today's boooootipul weather, but its about wat i experienced last friday..

It was drizzling when i left the office in the evening n when i was in the bus, bhatta called me n asked me to get down at silk board so tat we freak out. I just did that, n here starts the FUN.

I absolutely had NO idea whatsoever about how much it had rained in these parts of the city. It was a shock cum surprise to me when i got down the bus and had to jump to the footpath which was just 2 hops away. Before i reached that, my jeans was wet 1/3rd [from the bottom, ofcourse!!!]

It was a mini lake out there, rather a sea, coz i could see the waves entering the footpath whenever a bus or a truck passed by. I made my way through this mini pool to a bus stand which was around 10 feet away. Here i was joined by around 20 people which included mestris, office-goers, students... all waiting to catch thier bus. Just at this time, i saw an infy bus going past n suddenly a huge tsunami wave blasted us n took everyone by surprise. I was by now, half drenched in drain water [yuckkk], so i stood on the bench in the bus stand.

But it was so much fun there as every now and then a bus or a car went past, a mini tsunami wave would blast us, and everyone would go "hooooooooooo" in unison.
Honestly, this was one of my best moments in life after a long long time.
I mean, i could see people in their cars, struggling past the traffic, growning about the rain, people sitting inside office busses n dozing off closing their windows and here i was, with people enjoying every bit of rain n drain, helping each other to safety.

This is where i want to be, this is what i love.... I just pray to almighty to give me more n more opputunities to have these fun again n again. I will try to post the picture i took in my mobile, tommorrow

Men Vs Women

Recently i got to read a joke which came as a forward.

A man is dating three women and wants to decide which one to marry.

He decides to give them a test. He gives each woman a present of $5,000 and watches to see what they do with the money.

The first does a total makeover. She goes to a fancy beauty salon, gets her hair done, purchases new make-up and buys several new outfits, and dresses up very nicely for the man. She tells him that she has done this to be more attractive for him because she loves him so much.

The man is impressed.

The second goes shopping to buy the man gifts.

She gets him a new set of STRONG golf clubs, some new gizmos for his computer, and some expensive clothes. As she presents these gifts, she tells him that she has spent all the money on him because she loves him so much.

Again, the man is impressed.

The third invests the money in the stock market.
She earns several times the $5,000. She gives him back his $5000 and reinvests the remainder in a joint account. She tells him that she wants to save for their future because she loves him so much. Obviously, the man was impressed.

The man thought for a long time about what each woman had done with the money.

Guess which lady he chose to marry?

He married the most beautiful one!!!!!

Men are Men!!!

Jokes apart, this seems true if we take MEN in general. I know many will comment to this post disagreeing with me, but this what the truth is (unfortunately).

I got to read a blog from someone whom i dont know, but its a wonderful n meaningful post.

Down the memory lane!!!

It  always feels great to go down the memory lane. When i went to the college on saturday for the alumni meet, the nostalgic feeling bug bit me like never before. The only way to debug was to recollect the wonderful time I had at KSIT. The fun seemed never-ending, but it was not to be :(

I put down these pics, which are so special for all of us - me, bhatta, aks, madhu, nk, giri...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Can anyone dream of having a Princi [third from left] like this??!!! We literally sat on the road leading to the college entrace after 2 days( & nights) of hard hard work. This is a pic after the successful completion of our very own ANANYA '04. Not to mention, our HOD too is there (Never mind is posture!!)

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

As I said, fun was never-ending. We had a get-together after the fest wherein almost 40 ppl were sponsored the lunch by our Princi. The only good thing is most of us meet every weekend atleast.

This is the thing I miss the most :(:(.... the college CAFETERIA.  I cant think of anything we havent done here. Writing skits, staring "bande" girls or studying 4 the internals, u just name it n we have done that.

I would like to add more pics in coming days and i hope most of them wont be from the past, but the present :)

Watz ur EQ ??!!!

My EQ is

136

50 or less: Thanks for answering honestly. Now get yourself a shrink, quick!
51-70: When it comes to understanding human emotions, you'd have better luck understanding Chinese.
71-90: You've got more emotional intelligence than the average frat boy. Barely.
91-110: You're average. It's easy to predict how you'll react to things. But anyone could have guessed that.
111-130: You usually have it going on emotionally, but roadblocks tend to land you on your butt.
131-150: You are remarkable when it comes to relating with others. Only the biggest losers get under your skin.
150+: Two possibilities - you've either out "Dr. Phil-ed" Dr. Phil... or you're a dirty liar.

Rain rain come again!!!!

Finally it rained here in Blore!!! IT WAS SIMPLY AWESOME... just awesome. The whole day was spend in scrotching heat, i bet it must have been around 37 c in the afternoon. But later part of the evening was fantastic.

Well, i got up late today morn n was late (agn) to the college ( obviously ) (BTW, we had the first ever ALUMNI meet at KSIT!!!). I managed to get to the college just b4 the programme started & to be frank it went off better than wat i had expected. We had lotsa fun, meeting all the oldies (meeting some of them after almost an year). The fun I am talking abt is, the fun we have shouting at each other, pulling the leg of one another n having total masti, just like the days of our college. But it was sad to see few ppl, buckled down in their job, n behaving as if they were the damn old lecturers of the college ;-p

It was NKs Bday today & we headed straight to Corner House n i had some weird milk shake, which tasted more like a water dipped in crushed zimbo lollypop (sigh!!)
Then we headed to the recording of "ede tumbi haaDidenu" in Central college audi, n it was quite nice to get to listen to some serious singing stuff.

The best part started while we were turning back home :):):):)
It started raining cats n dogs ( bears n mice / cows n bulls :-s) and the journey back home is something which i gonna treasure 4 rest of my life. Thank u Bhatta 4 the wonderful ride u gave me tonight >:D<
Thinking of going to the second part of the show tomm.... on only one condition..... Only if its gonna rain agn tomm evening!!!!!!!!

Life - A Puzzle

Life is a very unique puzzle, with its own charm and alluring dimensions. The puzzle begins once a life is created on earth. Solving the puzzle is the object of every living being on earth! Some live their lives without even getting know the puzzle, while some get to know it , but get lost in the quest of unravelling it
and ultimately end up nowhere. Some find it , solve it, and thus live it!

Now – A few words for those who are in the process of solving it …

* Mind you, the puzzle which you think you have just found out may merely be an introductory note to a major adventure. This will help you to get a feel of what life really means!
* The most tempting and convincing solutions can actually be the most misleading and useless ones!
* Many a time, the solution may just fall onto your lap and slip away unnoticed which only clls for more caution and alertness!

Hey wait …

Never Lose Faith,

For Faith is the only weapon which you possess to fight all the troubles and hindrances that block your way to the solution!

Don’t Worry

U have ur whole lifetime for it!!!

After all u were born for it!!!

Cross-Culture Marraiges

Last week i attended my cousin's wedding in Mysore. He( my cousin ) is a Brahmin(ofcourse!!) & she is a Marwadi( Gujju i think). The whole marraige went off very well. Honestly, this was one of the most interesting weddings i have attended till date. Mere reason was that it was a cross-cultural wedding. The bride n her parents almost went mad seeing our rituals. Poor peepz, they were made to sit in front of yagna kundala for almost 5 hours :D:D.
But i bet, even they enjoyed as much as i did, when i saw their customs (felt like i saw HAHK for the second time!!!)
That's the best part of these cross-culturals marraiges. We get to know, understand n appreciate different cultures n their customs.
Not very long ago, these cross-cultural weddings were completely unacceptable, especially in an orthodox setup like ours. But its gladdening to see such a huge change in such a small amount of time. I wonder watz igniting this positive change?!! Is it the so called globalization, or is it the penetration of mass media into roots of our life? Whatever it is, the change comes as a huge boon to all of us Indians. I do agree that there is need for more openness n acceptance of these kind of marraiges, but I think, we are heading in a right direction.

From the Editor maam !!!

Motu maam is one of the most talented persons i ve seen in my life, especially her vocab ... here is an example of her thoughts... ( She thinks this one is kiddish.... i agree too :p)

Whenever I look at the sky during the night time…
I can hear the stars whisper…
“don’t lose heart my dear…
Look at us…though we know that we will be lost in the sun’s brightness when it dawns…..
We still shine our way in the dark…thus presenting a beautiful night for the earthlings to rejoice…
So …don’t worry about the miseries that are gonna befall u…
Shine your way through the dark & enlighten ur own life as well as that of others…”

That's Life !!!

Life is like having a cup of tea.
You sit by the side of the window, lift the cup and take a careless sip,
Only to realize, somebody forgot to put the sugar.
Too lazy to go for it you somehow struggle through the sugarless cup.
Until you discover undissolved sugar crystal sitting at the bottom...
THAT'S LIFE !!!!!
