Today i got this mail as a forward from one of my friends. This scared a **** out of me... just have a look at it.
Salary & Govt. Concessions for a Member of Parliament (MP)
Monthly Salary : 12,000
Expense for Constitution per month : 10,000 Office expenditure per month : 14,000
Traveling concession (Rs. 8 per km) : 48,000 (For a visit to Delhi & return: 6000 km)
Daily BETA during parliament meets : 500
Charge for 1 class (A/C) in train : Free (For any number of times) (All over India)
Charge for Business Class in flights : Free for 40 trips / year (With wife or P.A.)
Rent for MP hostel at Delhi : Free
Electricity costs at home : Free up to 50,000 units
Local phone call charge : Free up to 1,70,000 calls.
TOTAL expense for a MP per year : 32,00,000
TOTAL expense for 5 years : 1,60,00,000
For 534 MPs, the expense for 5 years : 8,54,40,00,000 (nearly 855 cores) And they are elected by THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, by the largest democratic process in the world, not intruded into the parliament on their own or by any qualification.
This is how all our tax money is been swallowed and price hike on our regular commodities.......
Think of the great democracy we have.............
The figures here may be slightly exaggeratted, but its so scary to see that figure..855 crores. Something to ponder over as an Indian.
If this is a case of LEGAL money spent on the MPs, what about the ILLEGAL paisa??!!!

I was just going through the blog of Sonali and came across a proverb " Pen is mightier than the sword ". This reminded me about an SMS i got few weeks back about duelling proverbs... Just like to share it here :
1. You're never too old to learn BUT You can't teach an old dog new tricks.
2. Pen is mightier than the sword BUT action speaks louder than words.
3. Clothes make the man BUT Never judge a book by it's cover.
4. The best things come in small packages BUT its bigger the better.
Please feel free to add any more duelling proverbs which comes to ur mind ;)

I am thrilled to see the new template for my blog!!! May be its lil tough to get adjusted with 2 scroll bars, but its just a matter of time...
Thank u SONU for the help in choosing a skin.
I request all u friends to comment on the new skin [even if u didnt like it :( ]
Just for the info, it wasnt that easy to make adjustments to the new template so that it suits my requirement. But it was fun all the way though ;)

I got to read an article on Indiatimes & just thought of putting it on the blog... I dunno how true or how false is this!!!

Women suck at keeping secrets and that's no secret! I and my guy friends strongly believe that the only way to spread the word around is to tell a woman something and ask her to keep it a secret.
If a secret stays with a woman for too long it will tear her up from the inside. It's basically unfair to ask a woman to keep a secret, for women are sociable and emotional beings who like to bond with people at very intimate levels. So, by sharing a secret they create a deeper level of intimacy, the only problem in the picture being that they get emotionally intimate with a lot of people in the same manner.
Moreover, it is very easy for a woman to coax secrets out of people using the power of their maternal warmth and once they get their hands on it they wouldn't let go of a chance to use it against you.
Possessing a good memory, especially when it comes to secrets, doesn't help things either. You tell a man a secret, he'd most probably forget about it in no time. Do the same with a woman and she'd remember it for the rest of her life.

This week has been lil too hectic at work for me, but i am not complaining too much either :)
Well, this post is inspired by the post of my friend Arpit.
Boy n Girl, Men n Women,Guys n Gals Mr n Mrs, Hum n Tum.... The world is truely divided into TWO... TWO completely different from each other, having their own characteristics, their own pros n cons, but adorable in their own rights.
Guys are (traditionally) rough, macho, jingoist, superior, humorous, smart and Girls are (traditionally) sweet, pretty, beautiful, mushy, romantic, dazzling, adorable.
TWO, completely unlike, yet they get madly in love with each other. Only the theory can atleast try to give an explaination to this "OPPOSITES ATTRACT".
As Arpit says "What makes these girls so special, so spectacular, that love and madness share the same room. How do they manage to have the guys thinking only about them day in, day out, their mere silence but one cute smile makes a day memorable".
This is what i got to read from the internet :
why guys like girls:
1. They will always smell good even if its just shampoo
2. The way their heads always find the right spot on our shoulder
3. How cute they look when they sleep
4. The ease in which they fit into our arms
5. The way they kiss you and all of a sudden everything is right in the world

the rhythmic beatings of her very heart. We love them for a million reasons, No paper would do it justice. It is a thing not of the mind but of the heart. A feeling. Only felt.

I was going through someone's blog the other day & i came across one thought "we come across so many friends in different phases of our life... but only a few stay on..."
Its so unfortunate but its so true. I, myself have had share of some good friendships which gradually faded out for eternity. Some others are still hanging around on the tip of the branch, dunno when even they break away. But the consoling part is few others have grown so large that either of us cant even to think about breaking apart :)
Well, coming back to the topic, losing out the friends whom we never thought we would lose them in due course, hurts sometime. But life blesses us with many others & again we proceed hoping the friendship is eternal.
I would like to thank God for blessing me with all these wonderful friends & i pray him to bless me with more n more beautiful frz n make all these relationships eternal!
I just like to share a sms i got long back ...
I may not be the most important person in your LIFE... But i just hope that one day when u hear my name, u would just SMILE n say " Hey!! thats my friend!!!""

Friends!!!
